Each vintage we select small batches of exceptional grapes which we craft into our Small Parcels range. This Chardonnay reflects the elegant landscape surrounding our Hawke’s Bay vineyards as well as the complexity of the wild fermentation method. Stone fruit and citrus aromas are enhanced by baking spice and brioche from regular battonage in fine French oak barriques. Concentrated, taut and mineral with a silken texture. Honeysuckle blossoms and vanilla with toasted hazelnuts and a hint of butter. This wine has well balanced acidity which leaves the palate refreshed.

The Gimblett Gravels Chardonnay is made using very traditional winemaking techniques involving wild yeasts and the use of French oak barriques. The resulting wine is always finely flavoured and softly textured with a linear elegance that allows the wine to retain its freshness. Lovely aromatics of white flowers, peach, biscuit and flint. Integrated fresh flavours of stone fruits, lemon zest and roasted nuts create a generous and complex feel across the palate which is elegant and long on the finish.

Saint Crispin is the patron saint of the Shoemaker, who lived at the bridge over Snobs Creek. In the late 1880's he passed on and the creek would forever be named after his most important tool, the Snob. The small anvil used to shape the toe end of a boot. The Crispin is a balanced wine, showing bright fruit textures of white stone fruit, balanced with natural generosity and lingering aromatics. Integrated winemaking reflecting an Artisan at their finest, a seductive cool climate wine.
