Catalina Sounds Sauvignon Blanc
Catalina Sounds is a truly classic New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc! Think back back to the early days when Kiwi Savvy was just starting to hit our shelves and how gob-smacked we were over the quality, vibrancy and sheer drinkability of such an aromatic wine. Catalina Sounds still exudes all of those fantastic qualities that we all fell in love with. Perfumed aromas of gooseberry with hints of tropical fruit, the palate follows with fresh and zingy characters that display ripe passionfruit and citrus flavours all complimented by lingering acidity.

Two Tonne Tasmania TMV Chardonnay
Fresh & generous, when picked on time there is a lovely sea spray character which carries you into perfectly ripe peach & lemon curd on the palate. Partial malo lactic fermentation, the acid is pure and lon Two sites (both mine) are relatively far apart - 3 Wishes (as above) and Domaine RB which is back near Launceston, kinda white hills - a low yielding, previously derelict vineyard. 3 Wishes was picked fairly early, in the effort to keep it crispy, then I let it roll through malo to take the edge off. All was left on lees, no sulphur over the winter, assembled and then left on fine lees for a bit longer. Completes the quartet of easily the best set of sub-regionals I've managed to squeeze out. Two Tonne Tasmania began in 2013, when a young local winemaker, nudged into the tightly held Tamar Valley by sourcing literally a couple of tonnes of Pinot Noir. This project is all about eking out small parcels of fruit, giving them lots of love, finding their true potential. Previously Winemaker at Bay of Fires, Ricky Evans' solo project is sourced from a diverse range of interesting & unique vineyards in the Tamar Valley and East Coast of Tasmania. Most of these are either leased and managed by himself, or he has a strong connection and involvement with. Two Tonne Tasmania was a Top 12 finalist in Young Gun of Wine in 2016, 2017 & 2018, and took home the peoples choice award in 2016.

Dog Point Sauvignon Blanc
A relatively new name but Dog Point's owners have years of experience in Marlborough and this label is much sought after. This release is beautifully textured rich and delicious.
Pierro LTC Semillon Sauvignon Blanc
If you want to try the benchmark in this style then look no further than Pierro. A clean and concentrated palate of lemon sherbet and gooseberry with a hint of oak influence. LTC stands for 'little touch of Chardonnay' which adds the right amount of palate weight and complexity.
Pressing Matters R139 Riesling
Pressing Matters R139 Riesling is a delicious dessert wine showing a pale straw colour. The bouquet of this wine highlights the sweet aromas of Riesling that sweep across the dainty palate as well. Pear Eau de Vie, quince, ginger and citrus chutney flavours stream across the palate before being corralled into the long, clean and delicate finish. The wine is lovely with soft cheeses and fruit-based desserts.
