This premium cool climate Sauvignon Blanc from the Coal River Valley in Tasmania displays fresh aromas of citrus and tropical fruit, soft and creamy with delicate flavours.

Clemens Hill was founded over 20 years ago in a remarkable setting within the bucolic Coal River Valley. The wines of Clemens Hill are and will always be, an expression of the whims of nature inexorably bound to the wisdom of winemaking. Indeed, the pursuit of a vinous expression of place takes precedence over the pursuit of accolades, but perhaps as a result of that philosophy, over time the wines have become festooned with prizes and accolades. Clemens Hill vineyard nestles into the north-east facing slopes of the ancient glacial carving that is the Coal River Valley. It sits just 75m above sea level and is cooled by maritime valley breezes while capturing the bright crystalline sun. It enjoys both shelter and exposure. Rainfall is a capricious 500mm per annum, so it is supplemented with irrigation in times of stress. Flinty minerality with hint of nougat, white peach and mouth-watering lime citrus on the nose. A punchy, powerful palate with delicious salty caramel richness right at the end. On the finish, the fruit powers through and the acid hits a crystal clean note.

Vibrant summer fruits, mineral tones along with a bit of funk greet the nose upon first smell. A creamy texture and lower acidity add real weight and fullness to this Sauvignon Blanc by Martinborough Vineyards, along with some mild fruity flavours on the palate.

A relatively new name but Dog Point's owners have years of experience in Marlborough and this label is much sought after. This release is beautifully textured rich and delicious.

A lovely and unusual Sauvignon Blanc from Hawkes Bay. It is barrel-fermented with a touch of Semillon and Sauvignon Gris. This wine has aromas of citrus blossom, pear and stone fruit and will evolve in the bottle for five years from harvest.

Forrest Estate now have vineyards in premium Otago and Gimlett Gravels but grapes for Field of Stones Sauvignon are pure Marlborough, grown on the very stony soil adjacent to the Forrest winery, hence the name ‘Field of Stones’. The fruit is harvested in the cool of the night and early morning to maximise the mineral freshness and the lemon thyme, elderflower and guava flavours. Bring on the seafood platter!

Frogmore Creek is a superb cool-climate Chardonnay from Tasmania that shows stonefruit and citrus varietal aromas which are enhanced by quality oak. The palate is beautifully structured with tight natural acidity. A very complex and subtle style.
