Widow Jane 10 Year Old Bourbon

It takes sweet water from tough rock to make great whiskey. Widow Jane 10 years old is a blend of whiskeys from Kentucky, Tennesse and Indiana, assembled in Brooklyn using water from the Widow Jane Limestone Mine in Rosendale, New York, which is even richer in minerals than the pure waters of Kentucky. Bottled at 45.5%, it does make a beautiful Bourbon!Tasting note from the Ultimate Beverage Challenge 1998. 93 points.NOSE: reminiscent of maple kissed breakfast pancakes with a side of bacon.PALATE: presents and astoundingly smooth profile, where rich flavors of plantains in browned butter, cocoa nibs, and orange marmalade sing in harmony.A warm, pleasing finish begs another sip. Basil Hayden's Kentucky Red Wine Finish Bourbon Whiskey

Late in the 18th century, Master Distiller Basil Hayden Sr. left his Maryland home for the greener pastures of Kentucky, bringing his family and reputation with him. Not yet privy to the old guard’s ‘rules’ of bourbon, legend has it that Basil set out to make a batch simply using the ingredients he had on hand, unaware of what the traditionalists might think of his mash. What resulted was a bourbon with a uniquely high-rye mashbill, combining the sweetness of corn with the spicy undertones of rye. The purists may have been displeased, but not the neighbours who tried it. Over 200 years later, the Noe family pays tribute to Basil’s masterful discovery with a high-rye, small batch bourbon that embodies the spirit of that very first recipe. Basil Hayden's Kentucky Red Wine Finish Bourbon is an ultra-premium special release from. A blend of the classic Basil Hayden high-rye mash bill and bourbon partially aged in Californian red wine casks, this special release is ripe with cherries & dried fruit, while also delivering characteristic bourbon flavours of vanilla and charred oak. Perfectly balanced, Basil Hayden Red Wine Cask Finish is layered & complex, yet approachable & inviting. A vibrant toasted brown with amber hues, on the nose aromas of dried fruit notes with cherry, vanilla and a hint of toasted oak. On the palate flavours of sweet cherries with complex levels of charred vanilla oak and a warm finish with a crisp, delicate mouthfeel. This whiskey shines when sipped neat or over ice.

Willett Family Rye Whiskey 4 yrs Small Batch

Booker's True Barrel Bourbon (Batch -01E)

In 1988, Booker Noe, Grandson of Jim Beam introduced his own signature bourbon - 'Booker's'- hand-selected and bottled straight from the barrel, uncut and unfiltered. He first created 'Booker's' as a holiday gift for close friends, but the whiskey was so well received that he decided to make it available to bourbon lovers worldwide. This is a big, muscular style of bourbon with plenty of spice, dried fruits & toasted nuts. Each batch varies slightly as Booker's is bottled uncut at barrel strength usually around 60% abv. Remarkably well-balanced for such a brawny style, opens up nicely with a splash of water and would go even better with a good cigar. This batch is named in honour of Charlie Hutchens, the craftsman behind the signature wooden boxes that each bottle of Booker’s Bourbon comes in, in the American market. He is also a long-time family friend and former employee of Booker Noe. This batch is made up of barrels from four production dates that were aged in four different warehouses for over 7 Years. The breakdown of barrel storage for Booker’s 2023-01E is as follows: 3% came from the 5th floor of 7-story warehouse Q, 17% came from the 4th floor of 7-story warehouse G, 24% came from the 4th floor of 7-story warehouse Z, 27% came from the 5th floor of 7-story warehouse Z, 29% came from the 5th floor of 7-story warehouse 1. The colour of this batch is pleasant to the eye with an amber colour of a well-aged bourbon. The nose is balanced without too much wood and with hints of oak, toasted nuts, and vanilla. The taste is balanced with a slight warmth and has a pleasant finish. This batch was bottled at 126.6 proof. Batch - 2023-01E

Four Roses Black Label Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Four Roses Black Label Kentucky Straight Bourbon is one of two Four Roses products that are sold only in Japan, with the other being Four Roses Super Premium. While this may seem odd, it is important to note that in February 2002, the Kirin Brewery Company of Japan purchased the Four Roses brand trademark from Diageo. Available only in the Japanese market, Four Roses Black Label is a blend of 1/2 OE and 1/2 OB mash bills and is a blend of bourbons aged up to 10 years. Floral with a hint of char on the nose and a buttery sweet chocolate palate with hints of melon and spiced oak to finish, we can see how many of the deep and layered flavours would be complimentary to Japanese cuisine and whilst it tastes unlike any other four roses bourbons we have tasted it is still has characteristics that make it unmistakably

FEW Spirits Cold Cut Bourbon with Cold Brew Coffee

Founded in 2011 by Paul Hletko, you'll find FEW Spirits down a dark back alley in Evanston, Illinois, in an old chop-shop making flavourful whiskey and gin. The name is taken from Frances Elizabeth Willard’s initials, an historical figure who made Evanston the home of the Woman’s Christian Temperance Union. Ironically, Frances was a staunch supporter of prohibition and was one of many who played part in ensuring Evanston remained a dry city beginning in 1855 and finally ending in 1972. FEW brews up an eye opening new experience. Cask strength FEW Spirits Bourbon, brought to bottling strength using cold brew coffee. Cold cut most definitely drinks like a whiskey despite a unique angle. Whiskey flavours dominate – but smooth cold brew delivers unexpected depth and a boldness that leaves you asking for a refill. Cinnamon and clove with dark rich roasted notes. A smooth body and hints of coffee that build sip by sip. But never overpower their unique, bold take on bourbon. The finish offers a soft and approachable profile that lingers on the palate.

Eagle Rare 10 Year Old Bourbon Whiskey

"One soaring, beautiful eagle." - Jim Murray's Whisky Bible We first tasted Eagle Rare in 2006 when it was labelled 'Single Barrel'. As of 2019, that changed to a multi-barrel blend with a ten year old age statement. It remains a standout value - an American whiskey with the unusual credentials of maintaining a reputation for exceptional quality while being relatively easy to come by. The profile confirms a #1 Mashbill from Buffalo Trace, which is reported to be low rye (10% or less), yielding notes of caramel, new charred oak, liquorice bullets, cocoa and peppermint rock lollies plus cinnamon in support. The complexity grows with time. Re-tasted from a 20ml sample, it's lean on entry, but fills out beautifully into a medium-bodied, chewy whiskey with muted rye spices before vanilla and Bounty Bar flood the finish, the sugars checked by balancing oak and more creamy vanillas. Ever reliable and better than many Bourbons at twice its price, Eagle Rare remains hard to beat. 45% Alc./Vol.
