Church Road are the custodians of a rich and long history in the northern New Zealand region of Hawke's Bay. The perfect balance between that textured 'old school' style and some contemporary elegance and finesse, this white is packed full of great mineral acidity and a superb length of flavour.

Innocent Bystander produces a stylish Chardonnay that shows stonefruit melon and vanillin oak on the nose. The palate has lovely creamy mouthfeel and flavours of butterscotch and citrus with minerally acidity on the finish.

The Amen Break Quarry Ridge Victoria Chardonnay shows lifted aromatics of fig and pear, complexing reductive elements and a hint of white florals. A Shoemaker, also known as a Cordwainer, once lived at a creek. When he passed on, the place was then named after his most important tool, Snob, the small anvil used to shape the toe end of a boot. A balanced wine, The Cordwainer is a beautifully crafted Chardonnay with bright summer fruits of melon and intense stone fruit aromas on the nose. Combine with lees contact during barrel fermentation, the acidity is well integrated with the French oak, creating a seductive delicious finish.

The Cat Amoungst the Pigeons Chardonnay has a white peach, nectarine and melon fruit taste with a subtle oak, crisp acid line.

The 2015 Cherry Tree Hill Chardonnay is a great example of a cool climate wine. The depth of amazing fruit is complimented perfectly by subtle oak tannins integrated from ten months ageing in large format French and Hungarian oak barrels.
