A tried and true expression of ripe and generously flavoured shiraz that lets the fruit do the talking rather than excessive oak or alcohol. Traditionally a blend of Barossa and Eden Valley estate grown fruit, there's so much to like here ; delicately scented spice, earth and licorice complexities intertwine with layers of supple, mouth filling blue and black fruits. A lovely deep colour with aromas of lavender, violet, blackberries and a savoury, game quality. The palate balances a rich core with vibrant acidity which gives both power and precision to the mouthfeel. The tannins are gentle and ashen, and the black fruits, warm pepper and delicate barrel spice are all present throughout the long and elegant finish of the wine.The fruit for the Single Vineyard Shiraz comes from the Marananga vineyard located halfway between the townships of Tanunda and Greenock. The vines range in age from fifteen to one hundred and twenty-six years old. The Marananga soils are predominantly red-yellow loams over red clay, which produce powerful, yet precise wines. Ageing takes place in French oak barriques for fifteen months with twenty-five percent of the oak being used for the first time.

This Shiraz is dark red with amazing purple hues, it has aromas of blackberry and pepper, and is a flavour bomb of sweet black fruit.

The Barossa Ink Shiraz is intense purple red in colour with great density. The bouquet is rich with plum, raspberries and dark cherries, with underlying hints of dark chocolate, coffee bean, and spice. This super rich, full bodied wine has a sensual palate offering plenty of texture, fine velvet tannins and soft, round dark fruit flavours.

The Linder family established St Hallett Winery in 1944. For over 70 years they have built a reputation as specialists in Barossa Shiraz. St Hallett Mighty Ox Shiraz (Magnum) St Halletts Mighty Ox Shiraz is a new icon for the heritage Barossa label. It is a decadent, classic style of Barossa Shiraz, saturated with black fruit and fit for many decades of cellaring.Fruit for this wine is sourced from several sites in the Northern Barossa, in Ebenezer, Greenock, and Moppa Hills. Bold and strong, it is named for the oxen that were once used to plough the soils of the Barossa. All parcels for this wine are treated individually, then spend 8 to 12 days of warm fermentation on skins. It is aged in American oak. The result is a full bodied showstopper, luscious and driving on the palate. The fruit intensity here is immense, with oak nuances teeming with vanilla and dark chocolate. The finish is incredibly long.
