With over 200 years of history in every bottle, its no wonder Charles de Cazanoves Head Winemaker, Christophe Rapeneau, was named Sparkling Winemaker of the Year at the International Wine Challenge 2017. Since the 17th century, the Baron family owned a vineyard in Charly-sur-Marne, in the west of the Champagne area. In 1961, Gabriel Baron was gifted 1ha of vineyards by his father, on the occasion of his marriage to Dolores Fuente. As a symbol of this union, Gabriel and Dolores founded Baron-Fuente. The first bottles were produced and sold directly from their house. By 1992, they had grown their vineyard holdings to 13 ha, and added a daughter and a son to their family - Sophie and Ignace. Today, Baron-Fuente owns 38 ha of vineyards, and the house is managed by Ignace and Sophie. All of their bottles are stored on slats for a period of between 3 and 7 years before they are disgorged, bringing the deep and varied aromas to each of the cuvees. They disgorge each bottle every three months, which ensures fine mousse and light bubbles. For over 50 years these different phases of production have allowed people in France and in 30 countries around the world, to enjoy Baron-Fuente Champagnes!

The house was founded as Pommery & Greno in 1858 by Alexandre Louis Pommery and Narcisse Greno. Under the guidance of Alexandre's widow, Louise Pommery, the house grew into one of the largest Champagne houses and to this day produce elegant and complex Champagne's.

Champagne Duperrey Brut Rosé, hand-crafted by Christophe Rapeneau from fruit grown around the iconic Champagne town of Reims, is a truly attractive and sensuous sparkling rosé that lends itself to many occasions and food pairings. A wonderful lifted and vibrant strawberry colour in the glass paves the way for the nose which sees aromas of ripe cherry and a hint of apricot. In the mouth, this Champagne comes into its own with a smooth and creamy mousse complimented by a super fine bead. Flavours of raspberry and cherries come to the fore to produce a sparkling wine overflowing with charisma and class.

The champagne house is located in Ludes, in the Montague de Reims National Park since 1868. These authentic, original Champagnes combine fruit, intensity and complexity. While the majority of leading Champagne houses are located in the urban setting of Reims or Epernay, Canard-Duchêne is unusually situated in Ludes, on a hillside, at the very heart of the Montague de Reims vineyards. Located within the limits of the most prestigious terroirs, Ludes epitomises the magnificence of Pinot noir cultivated in Champagne. From an assemblage of 60 different vineyard parcels. Nose: Intense aromas of fresh fruit, typical of Pinot varietals. Eye: A golden hue and delicate bubbles. Palate: Notes of fruit coupled with hints of buttery brioche.

Château de Bligny is a unique Champagne house in that it is the only house to have the 'Château' appellation attributed to it as a boutique style. Built in the heart of the Côte des Bars by the Marquis de Dampierre,Château de Bligny produces a Grande Réserve here of utmost elegance. A non-vintage Champagne and a 50/50 Pinot Noir and Chardonnay blend, the Grande Réserve is golden yellow in colour with a mineral bouquet that gives way to a complex rich palate that has extreme length.

Delamotte was found in 1760 and is one of the five oldest Champagne houses. Based in the Grand Cru Village of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger in the Cote des Blancs, the house is reknowned for the delicacy and elegance of their cuvees. A blend of 60% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir, and 5% Pinot Meunier, with each grape variety providing structure, fruit richness, and aromatic complexity respectively. 36 months maturation provides an extra dimension of complexity while still retaining the house's trademark clean, fruity elegance. Opens up with lovely, pure-fruited aromas of citrus, white flowers and lemon peel. Very creamy on the palate with a fresh and delicate mousse. A beautifully pristine flavour profile demonstating the Delamotte house-style.
