Only made in the very best of vintages by winemaker Guillaume Roffiaen, the primary aromas are dominated by the signature style of the Cuvée Spéciale, with citrus fruit freshness and floral hints as its calling card. In the mouth there is immense freshness from the Chardonnay backbone, bringing apricot and delicate peach notes. The cris, fruity attack delivers a thirst-quenching sensation, with mineral notes stimulating the taste buds. The mid-palate is perfectly balanced, with the silky Meunier paving the way for a surprising aromatic finale of great depth and complexity, from the well-structured Pinot Noir.

Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier are blended to create this finely orchestrated cuvee aged for a minimum of 3 years. Joseph Perrier has a powerful attack and rich mouth feel is balanced by a long finish.

The Vazart-Coquart family has been involved in the wine business for centuries. In 1953, Louis Vazart and his son Jacques launched the family Champagne brand. Jean-Pierre Vazart, Jacques son, is now in charge of the estate. The Vazarts grow 95% Chardonnay and 5% Pinot Noir on their 26.4 acres (10.7ha) in Chouilly. Average vine age is 30 years. They produce what is considered to be one of the best Blanc de Blancs in Champagne.

A pale gold in colour. Fine bubbles feed a persistent mousse. A delicate nose with hints of fresh citrus and white flowers. The wines complexity is expressed in successive notes such as vine peach and white fruits notes. A perfect balance between freshness and delicacy with fruity flavours very present on the finish. Gimonnet Gonet’s L’Origine is a Blanc de Blancs Champagne composed of fruit from five Grand Cru villages—Oiry, Chouilly, Oger, Cramant, Le-Mesnil-sur-Oger. As Gimonnet Gonet eschews the use of oak, the wine is fermented in stainless steel before it’s blended with reserve wines (30-35%), then aged in bottle for 22-36 months. Its golden colour, and mild mousse, leads to an expressive nose of bright fruit and a subtle nuttiness. The palate is grippy and fresh, yet creamy and elegant, with stone fruit, lemon zest, and a sense of minerality. 6g/l dosage.
