Our I.P.O.S Shiraz is dry grown by the brothers Whaite in their Springs Hill Vineyard in upper Blewitt Springs, two articulate gentlemen who for more than 40 years have continued to tend the vines first planted by their father. Following good winter rains, the 2022 season was relatively cool allowing us to make a modern McLaren Vale Shiraz at the more elegant end of the spectrum with a layered palate of dark chocolate, blackberry, graphite, and olive tapenade. Showing terrific length and layers of finesse the 22’ Shiraz is quite a-typical and highly approachable for any occasion, akin to cooler climate styles. Bright dark black garnet colour.
