Located in the picturesque Anjou district of France's western Loire Valley, the region is famous for producing generously flavoured, textural wines with various levels of sweetness. The two red grapes used in production, Grolleau and Cabernet Franc impart a delicious spectrum of summer red berry fruit, combining the classic stylistic descriptor of 'strawberries and cream'.

This Tempranillo has the aroma of black wild fruit like blackberry and mulberry. "Scuro" is a blend of Sangiovese and Shiraz from our Dark Horse Vineyard, co-harvested and co-fermented. Scuro (meaning "Dark") is named for both its Italian roots and for the impressive dark colour that took us by surprise during fermentation. Extended maturation in French Oak Hogsheads has resulted in a powerful and generous wine with a deep ruby hue, rich palate and great cellaring potential. Certified Organic, Biodynamic, Vegan-suitable.

Shiraz dominant red blended wine lending bright raspberry fruit and plush tannin structure with Cabernet Sauvignon to provide blackberry fruits , palate weight and structure and then Grenache to provide spice and fruit sweetness on the palate. The nose has intense lifted mocha, caramel and baking spice notes. The palate is full and mouth coating with brown sugar, jammy blackberry and chocolate notes.

Sam Wigan started out in the wine industry by working a vintage with his father at Peter Lehmann wines before heading to Geyser Peak in California. Returning to Australia with the winemaking bug, Sams style involves letting the varietal characteristics of the grapes shine through, by using natural/wild fermentation and malolactic fermentation, with minimal additions and no finings. Having a nice meal with friends and family is one of his favourite things, so he crafts the wines to be fun, drinkable and best enjoyed with food and good company. The Reserva Tempranillo blend from iconic Riojan producer, Marqués de Riscal is made from fruit sourced from outstanding vineyard sites that are in excess of 15 years of age. This fruit is able to withstand the lengthy maturation process in oak due to the fine, complex tannin and acid structure. The resulting wine is classically savoury with notes of dark berries and toasty oak. The palate is long and rounded with interesting hint of spice.
