Bright currant and dark cherry fruit is flanked by fine, savoury tannin, giving the palate both intensity and directive structure. Layers of sweet fruit and savoury notes combine to give a wine of complexity and seamless balance. A persistent finish displaying distinctive Coonawarra cassis fruit and mouth-coating, chalky tannins.

This rich and fruit-driven parcel of hand-selected Cabernet fruit exhibits a deep ruby red colour alongside aromas of ripe-dark fruits. The palate presents flavours of mulberry, blackcurrant, and juicy plum complemented by hints of pepper spice. Selected from the best rows off our small vineyard in the world famous Coonawarra wine region. The renowned quality of Coonawarra is a product of its thin rocky soils and underlying soft crumbly limestone which naturally produces balanced vine canopies and small crops of intensely flavoured fruit. Displaying delicate black and red fruits with lifted spice and floral notes. A finely structured Cabernet that will gain further complexity with cellaring.

A recent addition to the Petaluma stable, the Petaluma of Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon is a great example of modern Australian winemaking when let to mingle with traditional wine estate and aged vineyards. Notes of dark chocolate, mocha, espresso and forest floor sit alongside bold blackcurrant fruit and cedar nuances. The finish is long and sustained.

The Brand's Laira Blockers Cabernet is a Coonawarra red with classic varietal definition. The nose shows cedar, red berry and tobacco notes. The palate is rich, long and beautifully texturally structured. A multi-award winner, the Blockers can be enjoyed now or cellared in the medium term.

The complex palate reveals itself with style. Traditionally assertive Coonawarra tannins are evident at first, before giving way to a mid palate filled with ripe cassis, olive tapenade and complex briary hints. Fine, dusty tannins give excellent line and length, and are layered with sweet and toasty characters reminiscent of crýme brýlýe. Our unique Double Barrel technique of finishing in aged Irish whiskey barrels has integrated the myriad of flavours and brought extra richness to the palate.

A full bodied, intense red with blackcurrant, cedar, and white pepper flavours. Elegant, fine grained tannin gives this wine good potential to age. Excellent with roast meats or BBQ steak.

The aroma has a lifted perfume and is full of dark cherry fruit with a touch of vanilla. The palate is bold and full, but has softness, spice and elegant tannins. An approachable Cabernet that will drink well now or cellar for up to 5 years.

The label pays reference to talented young winemaker Elena Brooks who wears steel cap boots in the day but carries a pair of high heels in the back of the ute, just in case of emergencies.
