The 20th of July 1969 is a significant day in history: not only was it the day that astronaut Neil Armstrong took one small step on the surface of the moon, but also the same day Bill Taylor travelled to, and first set foot on, what was to become their renowned family vineyard. While one stepped on the barren lunar surface, the other stepped on rich terra rossa soils with the hope and determination to craft wines to rival the world's best. Taylors One Small Step Cabernet Sauvignon displays juicy blackcurrant fruits along with subtle coffee and savoury cedar flavours and a smooth gentle finish.

Lifted ripe plums and a red berry fruit notes complimented by hints of clove and vanilla bean spices. The palate has a supple fruit core of juicy dark plum and bright red berry fruit notes dominate, held together by fine grained tannins across the mid palate with a lovely acid line. Evans & Tate

Regional notes of bay leaf, eucalypt and dry, tannins are supported by a lush and vibrant blue and black fruit backbone that continues on the palate for what seems like a lifetime. The typical Margaret River Cabernet characters of red berries and leafiness are neatly balanced with the softer, plummy notes of Merlot.
