For almost 90 years, families had flocked to Coonawarra to collect the bountiful fruits which grew on the famed red Terra Rossa soil. But as the favour of wine grew, the last fruit trees were felled and on a summer’s day in ’73, the last orchard was demolished. The end of an era, the last of the blockers and the last Sunday drive.

Elegant yet powerful Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon. Lifted aromas of blackberry and plum, dried sage, mint and tobacco with overlaid with cedar oak notes. An intense and flavour-filled palate of plums, blackberries complemented with sturdy but well balance tannins holding together a long lingering finish.

The wine is made with wild yeast, open fermentation, and extended maceration, then matured for 18 months in French oak (with a significant portion of new barrels). This results in a wine with deep concentration, power and elegance.
