Planted in the late 19th century, the High Trellis vineyard was the first d'Arenberg vineyard to be trained above knee height. For the past four decades, a Cabernet Sauvignon has been produced from the vineyard to critical acclaim, even winning the Jimmy Watson trophy in 1969. Lifted Cabernet aromas of mulberries with a spicy herbal edge, rich and firm tannins, long persistant finish.

Ruby coloured, with a blackberry and blackcurrant bouquet. A velvety smooth medium bodied wine with lovely depth and lingering flavour, and finishes with a fine grained tannin structure. Perfectly aged and ready to drink now, or cellar for up to 8 years

This traditional blend has distinctive varietal characters of plums, coffee and dark chocolate with hints of violet flower. It is a wine of great length with textured soft tannins.

The colour is vibrant red with ruby hues. The nose is lled with the aromas of fresh zingy red berries, currants and spearmint. Juicy red currants and berry avours ow across the palate.

Ripe blackberry and cedar-boxy goodness on the nose. The palate follows with ribena jubey-ness with hints of spicy clove framed by soft grapithe like tannins. Fragrant, blackcurrant and supple. Perfect with rich & hearty dishes, as it tends to brighten them. You can never fail with the classic pairing of good old grilled steak, chips and cabernet. Bold and richly fragrant, the bouquet shows blackcurrant, mulberry, thyme and elegant oak characters, followed by a beautifully flavoursome palate offering excellent weight and persistency. Aged in predominantly older oak to ensure the richness of fruit is preserved and minimal tannin is absorbed. Vintage Note: A warm October and November advanced budburst andflowering by about two weeks earlier than average.March then saw more stable and mild conditionswhich allowed for a slower finish to the season andensured enough time for tannins to ripen and flavourto develop.
