Taylors Fine Tawny is drawn from wines selected for their smoothness and mellow character. Pale brick in colour with a broad amber rim. Mellow aromas of succulent ripe berry fruit, butterscotch and figs interwoven with attractive nutty and spicy aromas. Smooth and round on the palate and full of rich strawberry jam flavours.

The Shiraz grapes for The Struie come from old vines in the Barossa and Eden Valleys. The Eden component brings floral spicy aromas that are supported by more brooding notes of tar and chocolate from the Barossa. The palate is luscious and silky, and this is a Fine Wine favourite.

Enjoy with a generous cheese plate. Fortified wines were perfected in the 1700s and were popular as they were able to withstand long sea journeys. A wine becomes fortified when a neutral spirit is added during the fermentation process. There are many different types of fortified wines including Tawny, Port, Apera, Sherry, Muscat and other fortifieds. Common flavours include ginger, toasted hazelnuts, raisins, caramel and cinnamon. Fortified wine pairs well with seafood, tapas, fruit cake or enjoyed as a cocktail, aperitif or digestive.

Totally opaque black heart with a deep dark red black hue. Elevated scents of ripe blackberry, liquorice and dark plum flow from the glass followed by hints of dark chocolate, vanillin oak and spice. Rich blackberry, liquorice and dark plum fruits saturate the palate and have a lush feel with some blueberry, subtle dark chocolate, vanillin cedar and spice lying underneath. The palate balances a rich core with vibrant acidity which gives both power and precision to the mouthfeel. The tannins are gentle and ashen, and the black fruits, warm pepper and delicate barrel spice are all present throughout the long and elegant finish of the wine.The fruit for the Single Vineyard Shiraz comes from the Marananga vineyard located halfway between the townships of Tanunda and Greenock. The vines range in age from fifteen to one hundred and twenty-six years old. The Marananga soils are predominantly red-yellow loams over red clay, which produce powerful, yet precise wines. Ageing takes place in French oak barriques for fifteen months with twenty-five percent of the oak being used for the first time.
