The Giesen Organic Sauvignon Blanc is a brilliant new addition to the Giesen stable of outstanding white wines that includes the world famous Giesen Sauvignon Blanc. Sourced from two BioGro certified vineyards in Marlborough, this fresh and vibrant aromatic white shows the trademark burst of tropical fruit flavours the region is famous for along with plenty of lemon and lime zest to give the wine real drive. There is an understated feel to the wine, while still retaining all that we love about Marlborough; bold, fruit-driven flavour.

The luscious grapes used to create Forrest Sauvignon Blanc were harvested from the companys 4 lush vineyards located in Renwick, Wairau River Valley. This wine shows a pale yellow colour with green flecks, offering a beautiful appearance. The aromatic nose exudes mesmerising scents of grapefruit, passionfruit, elderflower and flowering bloom. The generous palate is rife with flavours of tropical fruits like guava, passionfruit, sage, lemon thyme and white flowers. These aromas and flavours fuse together to culminate in a crisp, dry and refreshing finale, marked by subtle salty mineral notes. The 2018 Nautilus Sauvignon Blanc displays intense lifted aromas of citrus peel, blackcurrant buds and fresh herbs. The palate introduces a delightful lime/citrus based mouth-watering intensity and finishes with a strong textural component. The fruit was machine harvested at night or in the cool of the morning, gently crushed and pressed then fermented with a variety of aromatic yeast strains in stainless steel tanks - the sole aim being to reflect and preserve the flavours and aromas grown in the vineyard. 10% of the juice fermentations were started with a non-saccharomyces yeast and 3% of the blend was barrel fermented. After fermentation, the wine was kept in contact with the lees for five months. This classic technique enhances creaminess and integrates flavours.

The nose is lifted with fresh notes of passionfruit and grapefruit. Sweet fruit characters on the palate and fresh acidity combine to create an expressive, classy Sauvignon Blanc.
