Anna and Jason Flowerday run the Te Whare Ra vineyard in Marlborough according to organic and bio dynamic practices. The fruit is picked and sorted by hand, then processed in a winery especially designed for small-batch wine making. On the nose, this Sauvignon has characters of elderflower and white currant with ripe tropical and citrus fruits. These follow on the palate, which is fine and soft with vibrant, fleshy fruit, balanced by ripe, juicy acidity and lingering minerality.

Produced from some of the oldest Sauvignon Blanc vines in the heart of Marlborough, this excellent example shows expressive aromatics of gooseberry and passionfruit and the palate is refined and elegant.

Perfect to take to your favourite Thai BYO, and balances well with a rich salad like a Caesar. Winemakers Comments: Lots of beautiful fruit to choose from this vintage. It was a big crop from the outset, so we had the luxury of reducing yield and intensifying flavours. Great vineyard management.

The grapes for this Lighter Sauvignon Blanc were harvested from carefully selected early-ripening vineyard sites, enabling the alcohol content to be naturally 25% lighter. This light vibrant wine smells like summer, with a lively palate of passionfruit and grapefruit flavours. Perfect on its own or with fresh summer salads.
