Grapes for this Shiraz are sourced from our growers in the Barossa Valley. The well ripened grapes are carefully destemmed and crushed to fermenters where they are macerated in a way to minimise extraction of hard tannins. All providing a rich and generous nose and mouthfeel. This is achieved with less vigorous maceration and lower fermentation temperatures. Maturation then takes place with American and French oak before blending and bottling. The grapes for our Shiraz come from our loyal growers throughout the Barossa Valley. Soils, site and viticultural practices vary but the one common factor in these vineyards is the unmistakable generosity that shines through in the wine.

Wild Folk - the natural choice in wine - are pure expressions of the variety and the vineyard. Minimal intervention in the winery ensures a joyful glass of just what mother nature intended. Wild yeast fermented, no additions, vegan friendly, preservative free, unfined and unfiltered, nothing but fermented grapes at their finest. This is such an honest expression of Shiraz from the Barossa exhibiting both freshness and flavour. It combines dark berries, spice and a soft framework of tannins that make for an explosive mouthful of deliciousness. Fresh blackberry and boysenberry, spice, liquorice, tar and dried herbs. Medium bodied, juicy bramble fruits, crisp boysenberry acidity, salted beef, firm but fine grained drying tannin, and a long fresh meaty herb infused finish.

Shiraz made with a family story in mind. Its a story about a cow but you will need to buy the wine to find out more. Alternatively you could ring the winery. Estate grown Shiraz from the Greenock vineyard. A quieter style of Shiraz with finesse and elegance.

Originally an Apricot Orchard and re planted with Shiraz vines in 1974. Hence the name Apricot Block. Totally opaque black crimson colour. Superb pronounced nose , with flavours of plum., spice and black pepper. The palate is mouth filling flavours of plum, blackberry. pepper and dark chocolate. Fine grained tannins perfectly balanced. Very long aftertaste. of black pepper , plum and blackberry.

This wine has an intense bright purple hue and an inkier royal red carpet colour closer to the centre of the glass. The aroma is an astonishing and lifted brace of blackberries, spice and even a perfume like touch of blueberries. Pure fruit and spice that is not in any way overwhelmed by winemaking artefact. The wine has a concentration of aromas that come from not over-ripe fruits. The smells change quickly in the glass and are fascinating to follow but the mouth beckons. There is quite a remarkable entry to the palate. A seamless soft but structured shiraz, lots of blackberries again for sure but also a mid-palate dark chocolate spice that whooshes through the mouth that you want to slow it down and check it out. There is some cream and spice from the French Oak and an almost chalk like tannin structure but it's all about the pure fruit.
