Sourced from premium vineyards in the Mudgee region, the Mount Lawson wines are well known for making easy drinking styles to delight the masses. The rosé is made from 100% Shiraz and retains just a nudge of residual sugar which fills out the palate and makes the wine a great drop for long lunches and sunny afternoons.

The nose shows complex savoury, earthy, bramble aromas with lifted American oak. The palate is medium bodied with bright red currant and hints of spice and blackberry.

Nature is a very curious and amazing thing and as vineyard owners in the Central Ranges wine district of New South Wales, we are constantly surprised how well our vines can perform in stressful conditions, with little to no rain. Thistle Hill, from the New South Wales region of Mudgee, was one of the pioneers of organic winemaking and took the plunge over 40 years ago! With new winemaker Tim White at the helm, the wines have gone from strength to strength and this 2016 Preservative Free Shiraz is testimony to that. Raspberry coulis blackberries, bright cherries, dark chocolate and vanillin oak. This shiraz is fruity, exuberant and lively. Filtered / Unfined. Vegan friendly.

Ripe plum and cherries with hints of spice, especially white pepper & aniseed. Medium bodied with notes of plum, cherry, red berries and liquorice. Maturation in oak adds a layer of richness; dark chocolate and lifted oak combine with fine tannins to create excellent length.
