Delicate and gentle notes of cooler climate fruits fill the nose; wet stones, chalk, fine citrus zest and orange blossom. The palate is lissom and has a mineral water like weight as citrus fruits mingle with toasted nut-meal and caramel. A fine and soft acidity retains levity and gives length and crispness to finish this Chardonnay by Marchand and Burch.

Golden Chardonnay fruit from the Louis vineyard is cool fermented in tanks followed by extended lees contact prior to bottling. By not utilising the Burgundy technique of fermentation in oak casks this wine highlights the pure Chardonnay aromas and flavours of stone, citrus and melon fruits. The mouth-filling, smooth, fruit-salad flavours are harmoniously balanced by a refreshing crisp long finish.

Our Once & Well winemaker, Freya Hohnen, is often nicknamed ‘Frankie’ – and this collection explores the relationship between nature and wines grown by her hand. Showing fresh fruits like feijoa and white nectarine, with notes of sticky lemon meringue, aromatic jasmine and hints of the ocean.

Delicate, ethereal notes of citrus blossom, honeysuckle and peach fuzz mingle with undertones of crème caramel and vanilla. The palate exhibits refined fruit flavours of honey dew, citrus and fig with a sprinkle of nutmeal and an enduring, fine, mineral acidity to finish.
