Sam Wigan started out in the wine industry by working a vintage with his father at Peter Lehmann wines before heading to Geyser Peak in California. Returning to Australia with the winemaking bug, Sams style involves letting the varietal characteristics of the grapes shine through, by using natural/wild fermentation and malolactic fermentation, with minimal additions and no finings. Having a nice meal with friends and family is one of his favourite things, so he crafts the wines to be fun, drinkable and best enjoyed with food and good company. GSM is a red wine blended from Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre. Originally from France, this one is an Aussie offering from Barossa. It's fresh and silky with flavours of fresh berries and cherry. Really nice with lamb.

Chris Taylor and his Quattro Mano wines have certainly made their mark on the modern Australian wine scene. Using 'alternate' Mediterranean varieties like this Tempranillo, Taylor handcrafts flavoursome and yet medium to full-bodied wines of utmost character. This Novillo Temp is choc full of dark berries, liquorice and that traditional hint of cola. Simply delectable.
