The Cigar the name coined by Coonawarra Vignerons to describe the unique cigar-shaped strip of rich red terra rossa soil. This wine is from the famous strip, the bouquet shows bright cherry, chocolate and musk fruit aromas supported by savoury cedar oak. The palate is vibrant with blueberries and rhubarb balanced by choc-mint with the tannins having mouth-filling praline texture. The finish is long and lingering.

The bouquet shows great density, ripe concentrated blackcurrant, anise, black cardamom and lifted lavender with hints of black olives and plum aromas. The entry on the palate is soft and succulent whilst displaying a subtle texture with a black core of fruit including boysenberry, dark cherries and olive tapinade. The tannin and acid are seamlessly integrated from the front through to the long and lingering finish.

This class cabernet has deep red colour with purple hues indicating the freshness and quality to come. Aromas of leafy mint with complex capsicum and cedar with ripe berry notes adding complexity with firm tannins and well balanced acid leading to a long finish.

This new Pepperjack wine is dynamic and imaginative. Lifted earthy notes and a rich concentration of dark cherries, blackberries and chocolate. Flavours of dark fruits with hints of plum, blackberry and red licorice.

Deep, dark and inky; a complex black olive bouquet, with a very rich, powerful and heady mix of cassis, cedar and a little violet thrown in for good measure. Excellent firm structure threads through the controlled intense and balanced palate. A little astringency on the finish. Plenty of blackcurrant and savoury plum flavours with a touch of cedary oak. Dark cherry red, with a deep violet hue, this is an incredibly aromatic varietal cabernet. Showing great intensity with bright berry fruits and mashed raspberry, together with licorice spice and espresso coffee. The palate is vibrant and fresh, building with layers of fruit, toasty oak and fine Cabernet tannins. It finishes with hints of anise spice, dark cocoa and cassis fruit.

West Cape Howe Book Ends Cabernet Sauvignon is a deep, dark crimson red coloured wine. The rich bouquet emanates dense plum fruit aromas, with hints of smoky oak and berry fruits. A well-textured wine, the palate contains strong flavours of ripe boysenberry and blackberry fruit, with oak characters coming from barrel maturation. This silky wine has great depth and a lovely mouthfeel, and is very well balanced. The gently drying tannins complemented by good acidity contribute to the lengthy finish. This Mount Barker wine can be consumed early, but it gets better when cellared for up to 10 years. The wine is a great partner to seafood and pasta dishes.

Woodlands Cabernet Merlot is one of the regions best examples. The Watson brothers are the custodians of a family heritage in Margaret River that continues to this day. The Cabernet Merlot has attractive and complex aromas of dark berry and plum supported by well integrated vanillin oak. The palate shows similar characters with outstanding length of flavour and perfect balance. Drink now or cellar short term.
