Anna and Jason Flowerday run the Te Whare Ra vineyard in Marlborough according to organic and bio dynamic practices. The fruit is picked and sorted by hand, then processed in a winery especially designed for small-batch wine making. Native & Ancient explores the interaction between microbiology and human intervention, of man and nature, through a series of natural wines. The grapes for this wine are organically farmed Sauvignon Blanc sourced from Block 4 on the Isabel Estate Vineyard. The wine style, Pet Nat or Petillant Naturel translates to naturally sparkling and is achieved by bottling the wine while it is still fermenting.
