This delicious, full bodied Pinot Noir exudes lifted aromas of cherry and ripe red berry fruits. The palate shows a dominance of ripe fruit, yet is soft and elegant, finishing with firm tannins that sit in wonderful harmony with the fruit and acidity.

This elegant wine has been made using premium parcels of grapes from select vineyards in Central Otago and exhibits lovely, exotic and wild fruit flavours. A soft, lingering taste provides a delicate finish.

“Big Barrel’ refers to Steve’s unique roll fermentation method in big, 1000 litre French oak fudres. This results in agentle extraction of colour and tannins from the grapes and gives the wine’s magnificent texture. The picturesque hillside site in Marlborough’s Southern Whither Hill where the grapes for this wine are grown is a true hidden gem; a tiny block that's just right for a family operation like Steve Bird Wines. Here, it has produced a genuinely impressive Pinot Noir with earthy, spicy notes in support of the rich, dark-fruit aromas. This gorgeous Pinot Gris has jasmine golden peach and poached pear on the nose. With fig, pear, and spice on the palate, it boasts a sensuous texture, great length and dry finish.

The Seresin Leah is a wonderful example of hand-crafted Marlborough Pinot Noir which is sourced from 3 of Seresin's premium vineyard sites; the clay rich hillside Raupo Creek vineyard, the alluvial shingles of the Tatou vineyard and the Home vineyard, which is made up of a variety of Waimakariri type soils of alluvial origin. The wine itself shows a nose of savoury, spicy and earthy aromas with plum, berry and herbal notes.
