Today, two generations of the Barry family ensure his legacy grows and continues on, constantly innovating and producing high-quality wines. Bright currant and dark cherry fruit is flanked by fine, savoury tannin, giving the palate both intensity and directive structure. Layers of sweet fruit and savoury notes combine to give a wine of complexity and seamless balance. A persistent finish displaying distinctive Coonawarra cassis fruit and mouth-coating, chalky tannins.

This striking, inky-purple Cabernet Sauvignon is a Coonawarra classic. It has intense aromas of blackcurrant, mint, and eucalyptus. It is full and ripe with layers of forest fruit and dark chocolate flavours. Great with aged steak and roast vegetables. Whats the importance of the number 570? Thats the number of vines that were first transported to our shores in 1832. They have been collected from Spain and France for the purpose of starting the first vineyards in Australia. Once the vines arrives, they were put into the care of a studious botanist we have nicknamed The Tutor. We were inspired by his story and this wine series pays homage to his careful observation and documentation. Cheers to 'The Tutor'.

A recent addition to the Petaluma stable, the Petaluma of Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon is a great example of modern Australian winemaking when let to mingle with traditional wine estate and aged vineyards. Notes of dark chocolate, mocha, espresso and forest floor sit alongside bold blackcurrant fruit and cedar nuances. The finish is long and sustained.
