Geoff Merrill Reserve Shiraz displays a deep red colour. The wine is packed with red berry, chocolate, leather and earthy characters. Birchwood Wine Cylinder. This wine is a non vintage blend of Shiraz that contains wine from every vintage of Shiraz since 1997. Each year in spring Bleasdale freshen the base blend by adding new vintage Shiraz, freshening the pre-Christmas bottling with new vintage wine, maintaining consistency. Bleasdale Sparkling Shiraz is richly flavoured with deep colour and displays dark berry fruit aromas, sweet plum and spicy flavours, silky tannins and a rich, velvety smooth palate.

It’s fabulously fruited and perfumed on the nose showing Black Doris plum, cherry, mixed spice and rich floral aromas, followed by a concentrated palate delivering considerable weight and persistency. It’s succulent and fleshy with a prolonged satisfying finish. At its best: now to 2036.

The Iron Duke is a premium Langhorne Creek Cabernet from Bleasdale the regions oldest winery, founded in 1850. The wine, made in limited quantites, is a blend of the best parcels of Cabernet fruit from the vintage. Rich, medium bodied and showing sublime regional and varietal typicity, The Iron Duke is racked before bottle without filtration. Named not after Arthur Wellesley, the Duke of Wellington, but after founder Frank Potts own rifle. The wine honours Franks readiness is organising Langhorne Creek locals to defend against a potential Imperial Russian Invasion a real fear at the time.

Made by Rockstar winemaker Ben Riggs, the McLaren Vale Shiraz is as true an expression as one could hope for. The fifth release of the wine is based around a core of pristine fruit with dark red berries, hints of spice, earth, tar and leather and with seamlessly integrated oak. Ripe tannins are apparent but not overwhelming, meaning this is a wine which can be enjoyed now or in the next 10-15 years.

Bremerton Old Adam is a stunning example of Langhorne Creek Shiraz with dense and integrated fruit that exudes ripe plum and blackcurrant. Rebecca Willson is able to seperate each parcel of fruit that comes in off of the old vineyards and keeps them that way throughout fermentation and maturation in oak. This enables perfect barrel selection to create a wine of true distinction.
