Geoff Merrill Reserve Shiraz displays a deep red colour. The wine is packed with red berry, chocolate, leather and earthy characters. The palate is luxurious and generous before revealing the great structure underneath. Having undergone extended maturation first in barrel and then in bottle, the drink has become elegant and sophisticated.

A full flavoured wine with a palate of black fruit and chocolate with delicate spice notes. The Estate range is a blend of some of our finest Shiraz parcels from across Langhorne Creek. The wine was carefully crafted in small open fermenters with extended skin time ensuring optimal flavour development and then matured in new American oak. It has great length and integrated tannin making it perfect for that special event. Drinking beautifully now, but has the structure to reward patient cellaring for 10 or more years.

The Langhorne Creek region is known to produce good Shiraz/ Cabernet Blends and our Quintessential has Cabernet and Shiraz blended together equally by our winemaker Peter Douglas. It is a perfect match and will age gracefully for many years if you can allow yourself to leave them in the cellar long enough.Alternatively enjoy it now amd keep a few for later. We have only produced 105 dozen of this wine and have numbered each bottle in honour of its true pedigree.

An aromatic nose of blueberries, dark cherry fruits, floral and spice notes. Medium to full bodied, blueberry, plum and dark cherry fruits burst onto the palate. Vibrant fruit combines with notes of red flowers, cacao and layers of cooking spice. The hallmark sandy/biscuity tannins of Blewitt Spring linger on the palate.

A tight and complex bouquet of dried plum, fresh almond, blood plum, smoked meats, concentrated cherry, blueberry preserve, ginger, glazed prune and clove. In all pretty it’s thrilling, what greets you on the palate flows through to the palate, with a band of deep but amazingly light fruits, an ironstone searing penetration builds up and then slowly flows away, the fruit depth here is admiral and the balance is so pure that this will age quite effortlessly for an extended time.

Aroma Bursting with mulberry, violets and saucy rich black fruit compote. A gentle hint of fresh pepper and Indian spice entices the nose Palate Matured in a combination of new and seasoned French oak for 18 months, this Shiraz was selected by barrel classification. The pallet displays characters of dark cherry and mulberry with hints of lifted spice and cedar. Rich and powerful with dense fruit, assertive tannins and impressive length. Alcohol 14.5% Serving Enjoy now or cellar for up to ten years. Delicious with smoked rump cap served with porcini gravy.

Concentrated aromas of currant, plum compote and toasty cedar oak. Massive black fruit saturation, with black olive, clove, dark chocolate and anise, ripe, velvety tannins, bright acidity, and charry oak in balance with the fruit.
