Hand-selected bunches of the highest quality from the Schoolhouse Block at Glenguin's Hunter Valley vineyard. 12 months in 100% French oak (25% new), 30% whole bunches, aged in bottle for a further 12 months gives this wine concentration and complexity. Classic Hunter Valley savoury characters of earth and game dominate the palate, with an undercurrent of red and black fruits, complemented by spicy oak and held together by fine tannins.

The warm and dry 2017 vintage allowed perfectly ripe fruit to be harvested. The red plum and black cherry aromas lead to a fruit driven and softly textured palate with background vanillin and spice from oak barrel maturation.

Run Amok Shiraz shows the power and elegance of a great Hunter Valley vintage. Deep purple in colour with aromas of red and dark fruit. The palate displays flavours of earth, spice and dark berries with assertive tannins.
