Dark red with purple hues. A bouquet of black pepper and cinnamon followed by blackberry and dark chocolate. Vibrant red & blue fruits on the palate with characters of nutmeg and cloves. Silky tannins and long finish.

Teusner Albert Shiraz is made from old vines in the northern Barossa; rich black fruits and tarry cassis with smoky undertones, the finish is long and luscious. Could easily be cellared for the medium term.

Vibrant, youthful colour, medium density and lovely purple tints for this Shiraz by Brokenwood. Being a cooler year the aromas are more on the spice cherry side than ripe and opulent. Medium weight palate and again spice and savoury edges. The tell-tale McLaren Vale jube fruit is there along with background oak.

Dalrymple Vineyards was established in 1987. Situated in the heart of the Pipers River region of north-eastern Tasmania, almost equidistant from Launceston, Scottsdale and George Town. Dalrymples own vines are planted on sloping hills that overlook Bass Strait, and they also have access to vineyards in other parts of the State. This Single Site Pinot Noir comes from the Coal River Valley, just outside Hobart.

Margaret River is an under appreciated region for Australian Shiraz, and it's hard to see why with Cape Mentelle's Shiraz showing a vibrant core of blueberry, mulberry and hints of raspberry. After which the wine has now begun to show off a wonderful array of warm spicy notes with that trademark mouthfilling soft tannin and gentle acidity.
