Mitolo Wines is a family owned business, borne of and led by the founder and owner Frank Mitolo's vision; to create a range of wines of individuality, integrity and utmost quality. The G.A.M. is deep purple, the nose is an intense combination of smoked herbs, liquorice and blackcurrants leading to a full bodied palate with notes of cassis and cracked pepper. Kalleske are leaders in organic and biodynamic vine growing and winemaking practices. Their old vine Barossa vineyards are able to produce fruit of the utmost concentration and power. The Eduard is sourced from three dry-grown vineyard blocks that were planted between 1905 and 1960 and which produce extremely low yields. Named after Karl Heinrich 'Eduard' Kalleske who worked the Kalleske vineyards from 1853 until the 1880s. Showing an intense, powerful and full-bodied nose and palate exhibiting dense classic Barossa old vine Shiraz characters. Inky black fruit flavours abound together with harmonized tannins, subtle oak complexity a sturdy structure and great length.

The Shiraz grapes for The Struie come from old vines in the Barossa and Eden Valleys. The Eden component brings floral spicy aromas that are supported by more brooding notes of tar and chocolate from the Barossa. The palate is luscious and silky, and this is a Fine Wine favourite.

Beechworth has carved out a reputation as one of Australia's most amazing, yet largely unknown, wine producing regions. Castagna have crafted a Shiraz of incredible poise and complexity from an outstanding vintage.

The Rêveur portrays every winemakers life endeavour - the dream of one day crafting the perfect Pinot Noir. Nick Glaetzer hands on winemaking experiences both home and abroad (including a stint in Burgundy) have been applied to this elegant and complex Tasmanian Pinot Noir. A luscious nose of strawberries, plums and savoury spice lead to the supple palate, full of cherry and blackberry flavours. Balanced tannin complete the wine.

Sourced from vines over 60 years old, Olivers Taranga's reserve shiraz is a powerful wine. Rich, dark fruit balanced against notes of dark chocolate and spice. Throw in some super silky tannins and you've got one seriously smooth McLaren Vale beauty.

My 3rd collaboration with St Hugo continues DR3's regal lineage. Presenting DR3 the 3rd. This Shiraz is impecable and unapologetic. Dark and brooding with masses of berry, pommegranate and raspberry fruit. It will draw you in with it's mysterious charm and ethe engulf your tastebuds with an elegant, expressive embrace. Love it and it will love you back.

The Hill Block straddles the ridge running through the Chapel Hill estate. The wine was then aged for 19 months in 100% tight grained French oak. The proportion of new oak was kept low to encourage the continued expression of the characters that are unique to the vineyard site.

The 2003 Seven Acre Shiraz displays typical flavours of plum, blackberry with slight hints of pepper and dark chocolate. The lacy tannin structure balances the wine tremendously and really reminds you why Greenock Creek are producing some of the world's best wines.

Teusner Albert Shiraz is made from old vines in the northern Barossa; rich black fruits and tarry cassis with smoky undertones, the finish is long and luscious. Could easily be cellared for the medium term.
