Bird in Hand Two in the Bush Chardonnay
This is a lightly oaked Chardonnay matured in old French oak. The oak maturation has given the wine zesty aromas of stone and citrus fruits. These fragrances are followed by abundant nectarine and peach on the palate, which end in a crisp and clean finish. Fermentation by both cultured and wild yeasts has added texture and complexity to the drink.
Appearance Deep straw. Aroma Obvious fruits are peaches and melons, there is an evident depth in the aroma and some vanilla notes. Palate Generous and round fruits, carried by elegant and restrained oak. There is a refreshing crispness to the finish which draws you back for more.
Snake + Herring Tough Love Chardonnay
The Snake + Herring brand is a wine safari searching for remarkable grapes from West Australian Vineyards. The Search has begun, and our grape balloon manned by Snake (our winemaker) and Herring (our navigator) represent this. The southwest of WA is a viticultural treasure map as there are vineyard jewels scattered throughout. We seek for blocks within vineyards that really shine; they may seem dull when diluted by the bordering lesser dirt. The search is to find and polish these often overlooked gems and present a treasure chest of different jewels: pristine, crystalline Rieslings; crisp, radiant, multi-faceted Chardonnays; alluring, perfumed Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon; dark, exotic, hedonistic Shiraz; brilliant, regal displays of Cabernets and blends.

Palate The palate displays citrus fruits, lemon curd, and almond meal notes. Lees stirring has added texture and mouthfeel, creating a wine with balance and complexity. Colour Medium straw with green highlights. Bouquet Varietal and full, stone fruit dominates with underlying green melon, hints of freshly cut grass and spicy oak add interest. Palate The aroma carries through to the palate with intense apricot, nectarine and granny smith apple fruit characters filling the palate. Robert Stein 3rd Generation Chardonnay
Winemaker Jacob has done wonders with the 2014 vintage, producing this exceptional Chardonnay wine. 80% of the fruit was tank fermented on high lees while the remaining grapes were barrel fermented using wild yeasts. Partial malolactic fermentation followed, which gave the wine complexity, intensity and structure. The result is a modern-styled Chardonnay displaying a pale straw colour with light green hues. Blissful aromas of peach, grapefruit and citrus flow from its attractive nose, while the rich and juicy palate depicts concentrated fruit flavours that lead to a cleansing finish and a pleasing mouthfeel. Foods like creamy vegetable soups, pastas, risottos and fish pates pair well with this elegant white wine varietal.
