Thorn Clarke Shotfire Barossa Quartage

The 2015 Shotfire Quartage is comprised of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Merlot. These are the classic grapes of France’s Bordeaux region, but this is definitely a Barossa wine – there’s no mistaking those intense, ripe fruit flavours. The fruit comes from three of Thorn Clarke's prime Barossa vineyards: St Kitts in the northern part of the Barossa, Kabininge on the Barossa floor near Tanunda, and Milton Park in the Barossa’s elevated Eden Valley. It's rich and full-flavoured, a lavish melange of ripe red and black fruits, delicious spice and creamy, toasty oak on a long, luscious finish.

Heirloom Vineyards Barossa Shiraz

This wine has an intense bright purple hue and an inkier royal red carpet colour closer to the centre of the glass. The aroma is an astonishing and lifted brace of blackberries, spice and even a perfume like touch of blueberries. Pure fruit and spice that is not in any way overwhelmed by winemaking artefact. The wine has a concentration of aromas that come from not over-ripe fruits. The smells change quickly in the glass and are fascinating to follow but the mouth beckons. There is quite a remarkable entry to the palate. A seamless soft but structured shiraz, lots of blackberries again for sure but also a mid-palate dark chocolate spice that whooshes through the mouth that you want to slow it down and check it out. There is some cream and spice from the French Oak and an almost chalk like tannin structure but it's all about the pure fruit.

Henschke Julius Riesling

Henschke Julius is a classic expression of Eden Valley Riesling. An almost perfect vintage has provided the citrus blossom and lime aromas and an intense minerally structure which will develop for a decade at least.

Schild Estate Prämie Shiraz

Chris Ringland Reservation Shiraz

For all those who fell head over heels for the astounding Chris Ringland CR Shiraz in the past few years, the news has just gotten even more exciting with the release of Chris Ringland Reservation Shiraz. Concentration doesn't even begin to describe this truly luxurious Barossa Shiraz. When harvested, the fruit displayed intense jammy, plum and prune aromas which were simply crying out for some extra maturation. After which the wine has now begun to show off a wonderful array of warm spicy notes with that trademark mouthfilling soft tannin and gentle acidity. With the capability to cellar for another 5 to 8 years, this is the Barossa Shiraz you have to own!

Peter Lehmann Black Queen Sparkling Shiraz

PETER LEHMANN Black Queen Sparkling Shiraz, Barossa Valley

Head Old Vine Grenache

Deep crimson red. Essence of pure red fruit nose. Pomegranate, spice, fennel bush, liquored and glacéed red cherry. Only medium bodied but round, plump, sweet core of red fruits and profoundly textured mouthfeel. An effortless wine.

Spinifex Chenin Blanc

When Pete and Magali purchased the Dominion Vineyard in 2018, they were particularly excited to work with a tiny block of Chenin Blanc vines almost 100 years old. This is their first solo release from this ancient fruit. The Chenin fruit from this old site holds natural breadth and intensity of flavour, so Pete picks early to capture natural freshness and preserve balance. The fruit is crushed without destemming and pressed to French oak for fermentation, followed by partial malolactic conversion and maturation in demi-muids. What a wine this is! All those juicy, exuberantly fruity Chenin Blanc aromas and flavours, with the typical Spinifex thumbprint of texture and salinity. Watch this space, if this first release is anything to go by then this may soon become one of the country's leading Chenin Blancs.

Two Hands The Boy Riesling 12 Pk

The Two Hands The Boy Riesling 12 Pk 2024 is a stunning representation of the Barossa Valley region. Vibrant and full of life, this Riesling showcases a pale straw hue with flecks of green, inviting you to indulge in its aromatic bouquet. Upon first sniff, notes of freshly sliced green apples, citrus zest, and delicate white flowers dance on the nose, accompanied by a hint of wet stone minerality. On the palate, flavours of ripe peaches, juicy pears, and tangy lime burst forth, supported by a racy acidity and a touch of residual sweetness. The finish is long and lingering, leaving a refreshing and clean sensation on the tongue. This vintage from Two Hands Wines truly embodies the essence of a classic Australian Riesling, and is a testament to the winery's dedication to quality and excellence.

Château Tanunda The Château Single Vineyard Shiraz

Established in 1890, Château Tanunda sits upon the site that saw the first plantings in the Barossa Valley, back in the 1840's. The grand château itself is a heritage icon and has recently been restored to it former glory. 'The Château' Shiraz is sourced solely from the Vine Vale vineyard and after picking spent 10 days on its own skins to extract colour, flavour and tannin. 18 months in a mixture of old and new French and American barriques and hogheads has produced a wine of opulence and serious concentration while still retaining balance and elegance.
