Pinot Gris really loves Marlborough. The Isabel Estate team always ensure that each vine is treated to the right amount of sunshine, for perfect harvests of superbly ripened Pinot Gris. This wine has rich aromas of nectarine, white pear, clover honey and hints of coconut.

Zingy grapefruit, blackcurrant leaf flavours and a gentle softness that acts as a ruse to its long finish. Rated by our tasting panel as a must try example of this variety. With over 30 years of experience in the Marlborough region, viticultural pioneers Neal and Judy Ibbotson have single-handedly brought to life one of the most exciting brands in this famed region, well worthy of significant attention. Oyster Bay Pinot Noir is surprisingly a serious complex Pinot. Intense cherry and gamey, earthy notes are enhanced with quality French oak and the finish is spicy savoury and long. Terrific value.

This is definitely Gris, not Grigio with baked quinces, crisp apple and interesting notes of clove spice. Partial barrel ferment helps this wine dial up texture and palate weight. An enticing alternative to Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.

Peregrine's Pinot Gris serves up some interest that goes beyond New Zealand's most famous white variety. Instead of kiwifruit and gooseberries, savour Pinot Gris' poached pears and red apples. There's some crisp acidity hiding in the back that keeps the palate fresh, with some mealy texture providing a nice mouthfeel.

A star-bright lemon hue with a hint of pink reflects the ripeness of the fruit. The wine is bursting with aromas and flavours of ripe pear, quince, guava, cinnamon and ginger. It expands on the palate to become mouth-filling and unctuous but its richness is balanced by a refreshing and zesty core of minerality.

This delightful Mysterious Diggings Pinot Gris features a pale yellow colour with green tinges throughout. The fragrant bouquet offers enticing floral aromas which gives way to a lush and intense palate filled with juicy fruit flavours and subtle spicy notes. These flavours and aromas are balanced by a sharp mineral acidity, altogether leading to a clean, dry and lingering finish. This wonderful Pinot Gris has the potential to be cellared for 3 to 5 years from vintage, tasting great with fresh vegetables, pastas, fish and light salads.

Forrest Estate now have vineyards in premium Otago and Gimlett Gravels but grapes for Field of Stones Sauvignon are pure Marlborough, grown on the very stony soil adjacent to the Forrest winery, hence the name ‘Field of Stones’. The fruit is harvested in the cool of the night and early morning to maximise the mineral freshness and the lemon thyme, elderflower and guava flavours. Bring on the seafood platter!
