Onannon Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noir

Onannon is a three-man team comprising close mates Sam Middleton and Kaspar Hermann (both of Mount Mary), and Will Byron of Stonier. This wine is a blend of three vineyards: Onannon's Red Hill site (23-year-old vines, MV6 and 777 clones), plus a site in Shoreham (19-year-old vines, MV6) and one in Merricks North (20-year-old, MV6). Very typical Mornington Peninsula nose with cherry and red berry fruit to the fore, with smoke, a light hint of creamy oak and spice backing, too. Light to medium-bodied, with a nice tug of acid through the palate. The plush red fruit has alluring sweetness complemented by oak and spice. Very Pinot; seamless, composed and complete, this should please all comers.

Paringa Estate The Paringa Chardonnay

Fruit for this wine is sourced from nine rows of P58 clone chardonnay planted on East West rows directly outside the winery doors. Once harvested the fruit was whole bunch pressed to French oak barriques (50% new) with Indigenous yeast fermenting the un-clarified juice. Barrel maturation took place on lees over the next ten months during which the chardonnay was stirred fortnightly.

148 Browns Road Family Reserve Pinot Noir

The cool climate and rich loamy soils of the Mornington Peninsula provide the perfect foundation for the cultivation of Pinot Noir grapes. Estate grown and hand picked from a single vineyard, the fruit is transformed through a combination of traditional and modern techniques, delivering a finely textured and delicately balnaced wine. The bouquet is driving by forest fruits and black cherries, with oak provifding tantalizing Christmas spice flavours on the palette. Food match: Roast duck with blackberry sauce, traditional roast chicken with accompaniments.

Quealy Campbell & Christine Pinot Noir

This Pinot Noir vineyard was established by Doctors Campbell and Christine Penfold in 1994 and Quealy have worked closely with them from the beginning.

Scorpo Bestia Pinot Grigio on Skins

Attractive coppery pink in the glass. The nose has notes of musk, candied orange peel, fresh blood orange, sour cherry, fresh herbs and a slight Campari twist. Bitter-edged on the palate with that blood orange note, with musky pear, peach and strawberry fruit. It has a soft phenolic texture along with zesty tannins that add a pleasant grip. Finishes dry, clean and tangy. Engaging and moreish, with impressive finesse for this style of wine, and with a good volume of fresh fruit to balance the phenolic and savoury skinsy elements.
