Every good journey deserves a moment of introspection or Naval Gazing and so it is that our Navy Strength Gin earnt its name. Its hard to believe that 57.6% abv can drink so well neat and is equally at home in cocktails, or with any tonic for a great G&T.

Boatrocker has approached spiced rum with fresh eyes and a new world palate to craft a spiced rum with a distinctly unique flavour profile. With over three years in oak, one in French and two in ex-bourbon barrels, this Australian rum was macerated after its maturation with a variety of botanicals and flavours we were inspired by such as mountain pepperberry, Peruvian coffee beans, smoked applewood & South American tonka beans to produce a unique and cinnamon-free updated take on the classic spiced rum. Strong aromas of floral pepperberry, citrus and marzipan give way to a pleasant mid palate of cherry, marzipan, coffee and sweet vanilla custard ending in a long oaky vanilla finish with just a touch of smoke. Serving Suggestions:Designed to be mixed with light tonic or soda, substituted for whisky served in the old fashioned way or enjoyed neat.

The aim with this Gin was to only use Tas native botanicals. I discovered some very impressive native berries, leaves and seeds however they could only be wild harvested which meant I could not get enough quantity to make it practical enough for an ongoing production. I have still been able to use some Tasmanian native botanicals however I have now broadened the list to only Australian native botanicals (plus the Juniper). Iam using 6 Native Australian botanicals with 3 of them never used before in any other Gin.All of my botanicals are vapour infused which is a technique not used too often with Australian Gins. Vapour infusion (as opposed to steeped) will give the Gin a much more delicate and subtle bouquet. My Gin is designed to smell beautiful. There will be delicate petal and citrus aromas with a hint of cut hay.
