With the oldest cool climate vineyard in Western Australia, Forest Hill consistently presents boutique wines with strong regional characters. Their Estate range represents the varieties for which Great Southern is famous such as elegant Cabernet. This full red coloured Cabernet presents dense currant and light cedary oak aromas. It has a beautiful deep, dark core of fruit with ripe yet firm tannins and elegant persistence. Dark and brooding, it will cellar well.

Appearance Vibrant dark crimson. Nose Dried bay leaf, mulberries and crushed violet. Palate Fine, chalky tannins with a brooding core of blueberries and hintsof cedar. This is a rich and persistent wine that will reward careful cellaring.

Displaying a perfumed nose of dark berries and savoury characters.The palate is full of juicy berries and earthy notes that are well supported by fine grained, integrated tannins.

Flavours of chocolate and liquorice with hints of plum and sweet spice. Fine tannnins fill the palate to give a long savoury finish. Vintage 2018 will be remembered as one of the best for Frankland River.

The Smith Cullam family are the pioneers behind Frankland Estate, a flagbearer for organic viticulture and iconic producer of Western Australias Great Southern. Merlot 43%; Cabernet Franc 37%; Malbec 13%; Petit Verdot 4%; Cabernet Sauvignon 3%. The wine is dark red with purple hues. The nose shows blueberry and earth, with hints of black olives, cedar and vanilla. There is lifted currant and plums with hints of tobacco and mocha and soft florals. It's an elegant wine with soft tannin and lovely weight. Falls into place mid palate, finishes with underlying hints of dark plums and tobacco leaf on the finish.

Beautiful fruit sourced from Mount Barker has gone into this excellent stylish and elegant cabernet. Deep, dark and inky; a complex black olive bouquet, with a very rich, powerful and heady mix of cassis, cedar and a little violet thrown in for good measure. Excellent firm structure threads through the controlled intense and balanced palate. A little astringency on the finish. Plenty of blackcurrant and savoury plum flavours with a touch of cedary oak. Cellar 6 years.

This Plantagenet Cabernet Sauvignon has everything you're looking for in a great Cabernet Sauvignon. Rich chocolate flavours mix well with a savoury undertone giving the perfect balance. Combined with hints of soft French oak and ripe tannins, this one should not be missed.
