Te Mata make some sublime Bordeaux style red wines and we've been blessed in recent years with some outstanding vintages. This years release has wonderful floral aromas with intense blackberry, currant and dark plum flavours lead to a rich supple palate with a sustained finish.

The Te Mata Coleraine is concentrated and complex with elegant cassis and fine grain tannins. Close to a true Bordeaux style with the fruit being sourced from the North Island region of Hawke's Bay in New Zealand. Recommended cellaring of up to 15 years from harvest.

Te Mata of one of New Zealand's great wineries producing wines of outstanding quality and consistency. This is deliciously dry with citrus and floral aromas; ripe with concentrated lime and passionfruit on a long, fine palate.

Winemaking The fruit for this zero percent alcohol Shiraz was carefully selected from early ripening sites to express the ripe flavours at lower sugar levels. Traditional and gentle winemaking techniques were used to ensure the wine retains its bright aromatics and fresh fruit flavours. Modern alcohol removal technology was used to eliminate the alcohol from this Shiraz, without compromising the quality. The Wine This alcohol removed Shiraz displays purple and crimson hues which lead to an intensely perfumed nose of violet, red fruits, and spice. The palate is medium bodied, supple, and silky in texture. Enjoy chilled and drink within 2 days of opening.

Spinifex Papillon is a vibrant and luscious red from the Baross Valley that is a blend of Grenache, Cinsault and Mataro. Made in the typical modern Australian mould, the Papillon is bright and aromatic with lifted cherry, red currant and spicy raspberry. A very perfumed wine with earthy flavours of beetroot and white pepper which lends itself to being a terrific food style wine with lovely acid structure and a medium weight.

The Bullnose Syrah from Te Mata is one of New Zealand's original Syrah wines, having been made since 1992. Vineyard partners, Michael Morris and Peter Cowley - both car enthusiasts - named the wine after the pre-1928 Morris Cowley car, nicknamed Bullnose due to its distinctive radiator. The Bullnose is a single vineyard wine from Hawke's Bay that shows characters that are aromatic, savoury, and elegant. It's an expression of syrah which, when well stored, develops and intensifies in bottle with medium term cellaring.
