Serafino is the winery behind industry icon, Steve Maglieri. Arriving in McLaren Vale in 1968, Steve embarked on a career that has seen his wines win multiple awards across the world. His Cabernet Sauvignon contains fruit that is hand selected from multiple vineyard sites throughout McLaren Vale to deliver a wine that is full-bodied and full of richness. Copious amounts of blackcurrant and blueberry fruit await with supreme textural oak balancing the opulence.

With the Southern Ocean coastline just minutes from Gemtree's vineyards, the maritime influence runs deep at this winery. Innovative winemaker Justin Lane is the man behind some the most exciting, idiosyncratic and distinctive set of wines we've stumbled across in recent times. Based in McLaren Vale, the portfolio of wines is based around letters, each depicting symbol and meaning. 'T' in this case stands for Tarot, its relevance here to the 'transformation' of a 100+ year old Grenache vineyard from which this wine is made. The addition of Shiraz and Tempranillo to this medium bodied blend works by adding depth, structure and spice to the appealing, deliciously soft and round Grenache. Pirramimma Stock's Hill McLaren Vale Cabernet is deep brick red in colour with lifted fruit on the nose. The palate shows excellent blackcurrant varietal flavour with well integrated American oak. A great wine for the price.
