While the unwooded version of Monty's Leap Chardonnay is a delicious wine in its own right, this rich, creamy and complex oaked version takes the variety to another level.Pale to mid-gold. Subtle, latent and powerful, with ripe grapefruit, and grilled hazelnuts, very good depth of fruit, superb winemaking and gorgeous oak. Long and complex.

From a single block on our family owned vineyard based in the cool Great Southern, our flagship Ferngrove Cossack Riesling exudes fresh cut lime, pink grapefruit and zesty lemon with a long lasting minerality. Native to Australia's South West, the Cossack Spider-orchid is the common name for the endangered flora adorning the label.

West Cape How Semillon Sauvignon Blanc has a bright and aromatic bouquet with a mix of herbaceous gooseberry and citrus aromas leads into a palate with great mouth feel, balance and length.

Since 1992, Madfish have been producing an exciting range of contemporary, cool climate wines inspired by the wild, coastal and pure characterises of Australia's South West. The wines are made by the dedicated team led by chief winemaker Janice McDonald. The chardonnay displays bright notes of citrus blossom, peach fuzz and melon that merge beautifully with rich nuances of crème caramel, lemon curd and vanilla pod. A scattering of nutmeg and preserved pear furthers the texture and flavour on the palate.

The impressive West Cape Howe is owned by a partnership of four WA families, including those of Gavin Berry and Rob Quenby. Grapes are sourced from estate vineyards in Mount Barker and Frankland River. Styx Gully is 100% Mt Barker grown; all the fruit from our best two blocks of Chardonnay on our Langton vineyard. Block 3 had a tiny crop with rich fruit flavours, Block 25 has deeper soils, a better crop and ripened later; it provided the fruit with higher acidity and delicate, finer fruit flavours. Some of the parcels were handpicked and whole bunch pressed; the balance of the fruit picked at night with low overnight temperatures and processed promptly at the winery. Styx is all barrel fermented (approx 40% new) with no malolactic fermentation; the result being a complex, but still fruit driven, style of Chardonnay. “Its all about freshness and energy. Citrus and melon with a muted cashew character on the nose. The palate is finely balanced with penetrating finish promoted by a crisp chalky acidity. Forester Estate Chardonnay is a refreshing fruit-driven wine. Pale lemon green in colour with intense roasted nuts, honey, ripe peach and a hint of smoky oak with lingering MLF on the nose.
