No, not Pinot Noir from d'Arenberg's home town of McLaren Vale, but an exquisite smelling, plush-feeling Pinot from the cool Adelaide Hills. Not really 'feral' either - rather a pure, varietal Pinot Noir with spicy complexities and a welcome firm tannin structure adding to the 'this is serious stuff' impression that this wine leaves in your mouth.

Produced from premium, old vine McLaren Vale fruit, the Angels Share bursts with bramble and blackberry fruit combining some spice nuances and subtle oak. Silky smooth, it showcases all the hallmarks of McLaren Vale Shiraz.

Dark cherry red, with a deep violet hue, this is an incredibly aromatic varietal cabernet. Showing great intensity with bright berry fruits and mashed raspberry, together with licorice spice and espresso coffee. The palate is vibrant and fresh, building with layers of fruit, toasty oak and fine Cabernet tannins. It finishes with hints of anise spice, dark cocoa and cassis fruit.

This wonderful red wine flaunts a deep plum colour. The well balanced bouquet offers fragrances of red fruits and raspberries enhanced by a gentle touch of herbs. This delightful nose is followed by mouth-filling flavours of savoury fruit, complex spice and subtle vanilla oak on the palate. Integrated with fine tannins, the resulting drink is very approachable. This wine has been specially crafted to be enjoyed upon release, but can also be cellar for 3 to 7 years for later drinking.

This is the third release of this wine drawing fruit from our Blewitt Springs vineyard sitting on sandy soil offering excellent drainage and resistance to disease and this year using Grenache from our friends at Dog Ridge. The wise old ladies from Blewitt Springs (shiraz) have teamed up with spicy Grenache from McLaren Flat producing fruit of uncommon intensity and flavour. The colour is a dark red with youthful purple hues. On the aroma, there's dark cherry, bright raspberry, violets, spice and some meaty, savoury notes. The palate is wonderfully flavoursome and balanced with fine subtle tannins, generous fruit and good length

Redolent with bright red fruits, tart cranberries and musky spice. Black plum and fresh rhubarb slide across the palate. Sweet fruit is perfectly balanced by subtle savoury notes.

Pirramimma Shiraz is full-fruited and powerful, with sweet plum and mocha along with cinnamon notes and dark chocolate which are all typical regional characters of McLaren Vale.

The Maxwell Silver Hammer Shiraz delivers all the hallmarks that make the combination of this variety and the McLaren Vale region so famous. The palate is luscious and shows generous fruit flavours of raspberry and plum and complex notes of vanilla bean and dried herbs. File silky tannins give structure and length, creating a seamless and approachable wine.
