This Chardonnay harvested from high altitude vineyards is a vibrant representation of the region. Well rounded with aromas of peach, melon fruit and toasted spice, the palate is mouth-filling and textured with layers of ripe fruits and refreshing acidity.

Tasting Notes The Chardonnay is sourced from our western facing block. The yields are a little lower from this block which gives added intensity. The Chardonnay shows some lemon and nutmeg on the nose while it has a fresh citrus flavoured palate with a tight finish. The potential to cellar for the next 3 -5 years. Tumbarumba is a high altitude region in the western foothills of the snowy mountains. The elevated and steep vineyards have fabulous sunlight exposure, which ensures intense fruit characters of white peach, honeydew melon, and a creamy palate with well integrated french oak.

The 2021 Chardonnay reflects the cool year in the Hilltops. With coolness comes higher acidity. The acidity acentuates the natural fruit sugars and so the wine feels complete and balanced. This vintage went into new French Oak Puncheons and so the light oak tannins and flavours are evident.
