All Cullen Wines are grown on a certified Biodynamic, Carbon Neutral and naturally powered estate. Grapes are harvested by hand on fruit and flower days according to the astrological calendar. The wines have no additions of yeast, acid or malolactic culture, and are in this sense natural wines which express the place and land on which they are grown, the vintage and the people.

Margaret River is an under appreciated region for Australian Shiraz, and it's hard to see why with Cape Mentelle's Shiraz showing a vibrant core of blueberry, mulberry and hints of raspberry. It is well balanced with cocoa and savoury oak. The palate yet, is fine, elegant and focussed, finishing with chalky and structural tannins.

Rich aroma with a complex bouquet. The wine opens with intense yeast autolysis characters of pie crust, bread and nougat. There are underlying characters of citrus, apple and fennel, along with flint, hay and almond. Light and delicate with a tight, fine line of acidity, leading to a long focused palate with a creamy texture.
