This single vineyard wine from Kaesler contains no added preservatives. It presents a garnet / rhubarb colour in a glass. Attractive aromas of cherry fruit fuse with spicy notes and earthy scents to flaunt an attractive nose. Aniseed characters complement these fragrances, making way for a dry and soft palate. A sip of the wine reveals strawberry and raspberry flavours. The drink boasts of savoury tannins that are balanced by high glycerol. It ends in a captivating finish. This rich and intense wine will benefit from careful cellaring for a decade. Enjoy it with Gouda cheese, beef dishes or braised venison.

A beautiful dark colour, the nose shows pretty notes of red fruit, raspberries, wild strawberries, spices and garrigue. The palate is powerful, full, with great finesse. The tannins are velvety and the finish has great length. The top-of-the-tree release, the Cru Classe Cotes de Provence is still the benchmark for Rose across the World. Pungent and highly nuanced, it features pale peach and star jasmine aromas. Full-bodied and velvety on the palate and finishes long with hints of Kumquat fruit.

The signature Thistledown lifted aromatics are present but the palate offers more sinew and spice than those from McLaren Vale. Textural, almost chewy but polished dark cherry, mineral and warm spices carry through to a finish of incredible length.
