It’s run by an established and highly acclaimed winemaker who teaches fledgling young winemakers how to craft quality wines. He encourages innovation and experimentation and thrives on the new ideas that flow freely from these aspiring winemakers. This one combines lovely, lemony Semillon with minerally crisp Fiano (an Italian grape that has found a very happy home in the Barossa) to create a full-flavoured, versatile white that will match a delicious array of dishes, from fresh seafood to roast chicken, to spicy Thai or creamy Italian – and more!

Although not typically lemony, this wine exhibits more complex aromas of smoked almonds and honeysuckle as well as buttery textures from the natural malolactic fermentation. The palate displays a spicy mineral flintiness with exotic fruit flavours.

2019 Blue Rock Wines Reserve Eden Valley ChardonnayThe fruit for this wine comes from our cool climate Eden Valley vineyard. It was harvested at optimum ripeness and fermented at low temperatures to retain the varietal characteristics. It displays the clean and lifted varietal nose of guava and lemongrass followed by a crisp palate of green apples, stone fruit and rockmelon. A small portion (25%) of this wine completed its fermentation in oak barrels. This has imparted some nutty and honeyed characters to the wine. Well suited to most seafood dishes.

This buttery Chardonnay offers yellow peach and nectarine notes with a hint of melon. A full and generous palate that is creamy and textural with sweet vanillin oak.
