The Gimblett Gravels Chardonnay is made using very traditional winemaking techniques involving wild yeasts and the use of French oak barriques. The resulting wine is always finely flavoured and softly textured with a linear elegance that allows the wine to retain its freshness. Lovely aromatics of white flowers, peach, biscuit and flint. Integrated fresh flavours of stone fruits, lemon zest and roasted nuts create a generous and complex feel across the palate which is elegant and long on the finish.

Fragrant peach perfumes flow off the luxurious bouquet of this Chardonnay, effortlessly shifting to a smooth palate laden with apricot, nectarine and creamy macadamia. The finish is buttery and toasty.

From families which have been wine growers for 7 generations, Andrée and René Thibert created their own domaine in the heart of the village of Fuissé in 1967. Inspired and encouraged by their parents, Sandrine and Christophe have now taken over the management of the domaine which covers 29 hectares. McHenry Hohnen is the quintessential family owned business with Murry McHenry and David Hohnen being brothers-in-law and the winemaking now being handled by David's son-in-law Ryan Walsh. With decades of Western Australian winemaking and selling history behind David and Murray the wines being produced are of utmost purity and subtlety. The Burnside Chardonnay is a relative recent addition to the range and is a funky, wild little number with attractive stone fruit characters that are balanced by a beautiful natural acidity.
