For 150 years the Barossa has created some of Australia’s greatest Shiraz wines. Dark Corner is not a Grange pretender, nor a wine you must cellar for 20 years. This is classic Clare Riesling that has come directly from one of the finest exponents in this legendary, boutique Aussie hotspot. A very high quality, pristine Riesling, bursting with all those classic lemon, lime and floral notes.

This elegant, single vineyard cool climate beauty has 95 Halliday points and won Gold at Melbourne and Hobart. “Texture and structure, the flavours held within dark berry and earthy, yet mouthwatering, tannins ... 95pts” (Halliday).

The grapes for this lipsmacking wine are grown in Orange, 950 metres above sea level. This crisp, cold, but sunny climate is the perfect place to grow Riesling. Low temperatures retain varietal vibrancy and minerality while the sunshine drives the production of rich tropical fruit, resulting in a wine of immense flavour and character.

As famed Spanish wine expert John Radford wrote in Decanter, the tiny enclave of Campo de Borja is “the source of some of the best value wines from Spain, if not the world”. It’s true. Where else could you find such a mellow, complex, oak aged red at this price? It’s made by our old friend Pamela Geddes (who also makes our bestselling Monasterio de Santa Cruz) at the 500 year old Bodegas Ruberte. 60% of the wine is Garnacha from vines planted in 1958. They’re not as prolific these days but the intensity of flavour in the grapes is impressive. The balance is Cabernet Sauvignon, which adds classic cassis character and structure to the spicy raspberry Garnacha. A rich and fragrant Spanish red best enjoyed with rustic lamb dishes.

The grapes are grown at an elevation of greater than 900 metres on the slopes of Mount Canobolas in Orange. Peter Logan’s Sauvignon is a very pale golden colour, and he coaxed vibrant aromas of guava, meyer lemon, sage and white flowers, backed up by a gently textured palate with generous lashings of ripe passionfruit, lime and pink grapefruit.

The Limestone Coast was under the sea for over 25 million years. Fast-forward one million years, the region rose out of the sea and fossils helped form the prized red soils (‘terra rossa’) for which the Limestone Coast is famous.
