Rosso di Montalcino has an intense ruby-red colour, it is medium-bodied, with good concentration. The palate is elegant and well-balanced, flavours of red fruits, violet, menthol and earth, all characteristics of Argianos terroir. CASTELLO DI VOLPAIA Coltassala Gran Selezione, Chianti Classico DOCG

Deep in the heart of Chianti in Italy's beautiful region of Tuscany lies Frescobaldi. Made from Sangiovese with a touch of Merlot to soften the palate, the wine displays bright cherry and red berry fruit with a well balanced savoury backbone of earthy spice.

Cerretalto is a single vineyard Brunello from one of the very best sites in the region. The wine is made only in exceptional years when the quality of fruit warrants. The best fruit from the site is hand harvested, sorted, destemmed and crushed before undergoing wild yeast fermentation in open vats. The temperature controlled fermentation lasts 3-4 weeks and then the wine is transferred to oak barrels for 31 months followed by a further 30 months in bottle. The wine is kept back in the winery for 6 years before release.

Castello di Volpaia Il Puro Gran Selezione, Chianti Classico DOCG Il Puro or, The Pure, is so named as its made from 100% Sangiovese from the celebrated vineyard Casanova between similarly lauded vineyards of Coltassala and Balifico. Situated at an altitude of 500 metres on south-facing slopes of Volpaia above the sea level. The vineyard is organic and is home to 25 clones of 60-plus-year-old Sangiovese vines indigenous to Volpaia. The number of clones doesnt just give the wine complexity, it preserves the genetic diversity and health of the vines.

Castello di Volpaia Balifico Toscana IGT Balifico is named after for the vineyard from which the fruit is sourced. Situated at an altitude approximately 450 metres, youll find it between the celebrated vineyards of Coltassala and Casanova. The Balifico is a Supertuscana blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignonand one of the first of this revolutionary new breed to win acclaim by international wine media.

This wine has an intense aroma of red berries, accompanied by hints of vanilla and chocolate. It shows great structure on the palate, and persistence of the fruit. Pèppoli is characterised by elegant and gentle tannins. Tuscany is without doubt a wine region that produces some of the most important reds in the World.
