La Forge Estate Pinot Noir is a deep bright and lovely light garnet-red colour. Very elegant with a quintessence of red berries, strawberry, cherry, and soft spices aromas with a hint of vanilla. Its a medium bodied wine, with ripe tannins and acidity which testify its capability to age. It develops very delicate aromas and a long lasting finish.

This irresistible black beauty is made from fabulously intense Shiraz and Grenache grapes grown on the craggy hillsides of France's Roussillon region. This inhospitable landscape and these ancient strongholds were home to medieval Cathars who lived in awe of evil god Rex Mundi ('King of the World'). He corrupted the faithful with promises of earthly pleasures and the forbidden delights of mortal flesh. This Grenache was cultivated in the south of France, between Béziers and Perpignan, near the Mediterranean coast.The 20- to 50-year-old sloping vineyards are located on clay-silty soils coming from the old Aude river, and from the clay-limestone soils of the Minervois PGI area. Deep purple in color with vivid highlights. Intense nose of red fruits, notes of soft spices . The palate is rich, well-balanced, round withnotes of fresh fruits coulis such as raspberry, strawberry, blueberry. Notes of spices lend freshness to the wine.
