Founded in 2001 Mr. Riggs wine co. is headed by iconic South Australian winemaker Ben Riggs, here we introduce Mr. Riggs first Sauvignon Blanc, Woodside.The Adelaide Hills produces some of the best Sauvignon Blanc in Australia, the Woodside Sauvignon Blanc is no exception, crisp, bright and aromatic with tropical notes of passionfruit, melon and nashi pear.

These traditional sparkling varieties of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier are sourced from the cool climate Adelaide Hills, and are picked early to retain high natural acidity. Small batches of these low yielding grapes are gently pressed in stainless stell basket presses. Following primary and partial malolactic fermentation the inidividual parcels are bottled and inoculated with yeast and sugar to encourage secondary fermentation. The cuvee is fermented in the bottle to develop complexity for approximately four years. This is a dry style sparkling with minerality, a crisp acid backbone and layers of flowers, fruits and toasty savoury nuances.

This incredibly intense wine displays grapefruit and gooseberry at the fore. These flavours linger through the textural midpalate before a long, dry zippy citrus finish

Striking aromas of lemon, peach, and oatmeal. On the palate are stone fruits and lemon. The prominent acid supports these fruit characters and the oak provides a richness that complements the fruit. An overall great balance. STYLEClassic Adelaide Hills Chardonnay, with elegance and structure.
