The Old Salem Church was built with humble claystone in 1856. The church was destroyed in the flood of 1946, Old Salem lives on in the memorial stone laid in our neighbouring vineyard and in the grapes harvested from it. These are blended with carefully selected premium grapes from other longstanding Barossa family growers to create this distinctive Barossa Shiraz. This rich Shiraz has an intense nose of satsuma plum, blackberry and hints of spice. The palate holds concentrated flavours of plum, dark berries, dark chocolate and aniseed, while new and seasoned French oak provides balance and support to the intensity of the fruit

Chris Ringland Shiraz 2005 represents an outstanding expression from the vineyard. The vine is powerful, voluptuous and ripe, yet the tannins are plush and mature, with moderate acidity. This vintage will have great longevity potential.

Greenock is a long standing subregion in the Barossa Valley known for rich, silken, dark-fruited wines. When you mix that terroir-driven history with a winery like Kalleske you have a match made in heaven. Able to fully utilise the deeply concentrated flavours produced by the Greenock fruit, the skilled team has bottle a full-bodied Barossa Shiraz that is overflowing with fruit, balanced tannins and seamless oak. Given some time and a nice decant and this single vineyard Shiraz will open up wonderfully.

Torbreck's Woodcutter's Shiraz is produced from hand-tended low-yielding vines. Bold and hearty it shows ripe sweet fruit flavours with supple tannins. Has quickly become a firm favourite of all the full-bodied Barossa red wine lovers out there.

Strikingly vivid in colour with deep purple and magenta. There are energetic aromatics showing fresh, pure expression of fruit. Aromas of violets, dark rose, sweet plum, spice, licorice and fruitcake emanate from the glass. The palate is bursting with rich and bright dark fruit flavours. Well structured, with natural tannins providing a muscular framework the wine is full in body, flavour and mouth feel. A touch of creaminess leads to a lengthy finish completing this resplendent wine. The Fat Cat Shiraz from Cat Amongst the Pigeons from the Barossa is made from carefully selected grapes, chosen for their superior quality. The result? The ultimate Borossa Shiraz full of intense, rich flavours of plum, blackberry and a hint of spice.

From vines over or approaching 100 years old, this was open - fermented with wild yeast, then spent 18 months in some new, mainly old, French oak barriques. Concentration shows in the colour and aroma of this shiraz, as well as the powerful, full-bodied palate, which shows guts and grip, if not great elegance. Dense chocolate and blackberry aromas are a feauture of this beautiful wine.

Grapes for this Shiraz are sourced from our growers in the Barossa Valley. The well ripened grapes are carefully destemmed and crushed to fermenters where they are macerated in a way to minimise extraction of hard tannins. All providing a rich and generous nose and mouthfeel. This is achieved with less vigorous maceration and lower fermentation temperatures. Maturation then takes place with American and French oak before blending and bottling. The grapes for our Shiraz come from our loyal growers throughout the Barossa Valley. Soils, site and viticultural practices vary but the one common factor in these vineyards is the unmistakable generosity that shines through in the wine.
