Old Fortified

“Fortified” is an alternative name for a “Port” style wine. Woodstock Old Fortified has an average age of about 13 years. Wine industry pioneer and Woodstock’s founding father, Doug Collett made McLaren Vale Grenache and Shiraz fortifieds in the 1960’s and 1970’s. He aged them in old Brandy barrels for future generations. Today, his son Scott Collett, continues the fortified tradition at Woodstock with this fine example of an Australian style ‘Tawny Port’.

The Tasting Panel was extremely impressed by this wine. An excellent example of Malbec, with loads of varietal fruit power yet manages to retain a degree of elegance.Dense crimson black saturation. Immense cola and prune with perfect freshness and ripeness. Dense palate richness with cola and blackberry, mouth-filling chocolatey power, and superb tannin richness and depth. A very well made example of the variety.

Monkey Rock Winery Duck Duck Goose Shiraz Tempranillo

Made from a blend of Frankland WA grown Shiraz and handpicked bushvine Tempranillo. Each wine was allowed to ferment naturally on skins using only the wild yeast then they were basket pressed and blended. The Shiraz provides body and complexity to the tannin component of the lighter Tempranillo. The result is a fruit driven, unoaked red with berry and spice elements, great texture, and a bright acidity.

Mount Langi Ghiran Billi Bili Shiraz

Mount Langi Billi Billi Shiraz is a rich and exciting Shiraz from one of Victoria's most respected Shiraz producers. A generous wine of luscious red and black fruits paired with finely structured tannins and mouth-watering acidity. The spice and floral notes follow on from the bouquet to enliven the drive of fruit and mark the wine's cool climate origins.

Regal Rogue Wild Rose Vermouth
